About a year ago I purchased two “Portfoli” wall lanterns from Lowe’s for the front of my home. Recently one was damaged in a hail storm and I have been searching for a replacement. I have picked up two similar lanterns from Lowe’s (Item No. 0253837) which are bronze tone. The two I got last year were the same design but in the black tone. My wife likes the black better and if there is a black one similar to the two bronze I got today, I would rather have to buy one rather than replacing two. Especially since I like the black finish better. In other words is the black toned lantern still in your stock that is similar to the bronze no 0253837.
    Thank you

I purchased many portfolio lights over the past several years and have always been pleased. Recently I have had two panels stop working and so I went to Lowes to purchase replacement lights. I have always bought the three pack and did so without paying much attention until I got home. The lights I purchased will work ONLY if I can mount them. I use them on an above ground pool deck. They came only with ground staks and I was wondering if you had a monuting part that I could purchase they are a different size so they don’t fit the current mounts. The item # on the box is #0127456 3-pack floodlight set with panel on the paperwork #SPS1-BK-PK3

I live in Northern Maine and have purchased 10 deck lights. The lighting is great especially in the winter when the sunlight is gone at 5pm. Unfortunately my snowblower has eaten the faces off most of the lights. Is there anyway to purchase just the 10 face plates? It’s just there were four options to choose from I chose the black grill type face plate. Please help! Winter is coming soon.

I broke the glass globe on an exterior fixture. It was 6″ in dia. and 8″ in height and was seeded glass. I have two fixtures on my garage and do not want to replace them. Where, how do I obtain a replacement? I bought at Lowe’s – were packaged two fixtures at a really low price for the pair.

. HOWEVER, Woman B claimed she had never said anything to A about my wife spreading the rumors and that she was simply concerned about her. She was sorry, apologized, but understood if my wife didn’t trust her as a friend. My wife was hurt, but choose to forgive woman B and move on and attempt to repair things with woman A.The next morning, woman B went to A and told her what my wife had done to her. Woman A was concerned about the accuracy of the information she was getting from B. Woman A asked her again if she was sure that what she had said at the party was true, including the party about my wife telling many different people and maliciously attempting to start the rumors. B said this was all true again, and that my wife was really upset with A and wanted to bring her down with what she said.A week later, my wife tried to talk to woman A to apologize for what was said. Woman A would not even look at my wife. She said she was done with her as a friend. She explained that woman B had come back to her to tell her she had been talking about her AGAIN, and she reiterated about the fact she had been spreading the rumors maliciously and my wife wanted to hurt woman A. None of this was true. Woman A called my wife a slew of fowl language in front of me, in front of dozens of her close friends and in front of many of my wife’s friends. She stated that she was lying because woman B had said these things to her twice, and that she wouldn’t lie.My wife is woman A’s boss. Woman A is letting this effect her work. Woman A has cut off all communication with my wife outside of work. Woman B is now completely avoiding my wife entirely as well as woman B’s husband, who is a close friend of mine.My wife forgave them both for what happened. Several weeks has passed. I have a hard time forgiving these people and wanted them to ever be back at our home. They were both very good friends of my wife’s and now she feels alone and isolated because her two best friends destroyed their friendship. I even lost a close friend. The collateral damage goes very deep, since these were mutual friends of almost everyone we know.My wife wants me to move on, but I have such a hard time with that. My wife was trying to do the biblically accurate thing to hold a fellow sister in christ accountable and her other sister in christ; who was not a new christian, but a strong one, threw it in her face. She broke her trust not once, but twice.I just think she doesn

About 7 years ago I purchased a flush mount light for my kitchen it is rather ornate and I just love it. For some reason the glass shade fell and smashed. I would like to replace just the glass shade. How do I go about doing that. I can’t seem to find one to purchase and Lowes has discontinued this particular light. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you.

This is about an indoor Portfolio product but I can’t find an alternate website. We have the Portfolio mini pendant 3 light fixture and wanted the white glass shade with the red swirls. Lowe’s has now discontinued them.. I have to honestly say, I just don’t like the other options, I really want the white with the red swirls. Is there another outlet besides Lowe’s I could check that would sell Portfolio glass shades for your mini pendant fixtures?
    Thanks!

In June, 2011, we bought four outdoor light fixtures (Portfolio Item #247199, Model #4440AR) along with ordering the matching post light from Lowes. Over the past two months every light has fallen apart. It appears the bottom cap is too heavy for the glass globe. In each instance we have found the bottom metal cap parts on the ground below each fixture. The globes are still attached, but either cracked or broken. I can email photos of the lights as we have not replaced them as of yet. I sent an email to your customer service last week and have not received a response yet. Since my email, the last light has fallen apart too. During my research on the Lowes website I discovered there are others who have had the same unfortunate experience as I. It appears this light has a severe design defect. Needless to say, I am a very unhappy customer. I would like all four lights replaced; not with the same light, but one with a complimentary design to match the post light. Thank you, T. Bates

We bought our home, new, in 2009. We had Portfolio Outdoor Lighting #247199 Wall Latern. Shortly after moving in, one of the fixtures broke. The globes was broken at the bottom and the cap was on the ground with the broken glass. We replaced the entire fixture, not just the globe, with another Portfolio #247199. Once again, the bottom of the fixture, cap along with the bottom glass portion of the globe has broken. I can send photos, but at this point believe it is a defect wtih the prodct. We purchased these at Lowe’s and do most of our home shopping at Lowes, but I’m not sure that replacing this with like kind/quality will remedy the situation. We gave Portfolio the benefit of the doubt and replaced the entire fixture the first time, but now that it has happened again, I’m of the opinion there is a defect with the weight of the bottom cap area. We would like replacement, same color, size, but not this particular design. C. Klatt

      Dear C. Klatt-

Did you every get a response to your post from Portfolio? We have had the exact experience and have replaced the 2 globes on our garage twice at a cost of $40 each and the bigger lights on the entry of our house had a severe crack on one of the globes. We know it is just a matter of time before we have to replace those. I have been online shopping for the latest replacements for our garage globes and found your post. I am really disappointed in the quality and durability of these lights and because of the cost, have hesitated to replace them but it looks to be the only option. Please let me know if you got a response or if you have a suggestion for us. Hope you had a good resolution to your situation and thanks for your post. M. Canning

I bought a Portfolio low-voltage transformer at Lowe’s last week and installed it. While it functions fine, the design leaves much to be desired. A new installation would be better, but I was using it in a location where my older unit had failed. 1) The wires are connected on the bottom of the unit which is a much worse design option than being on the front (unit lifts off the wall when tightening the screws, plus you have to get on your back to even make the connection, 2) the connection block has partitions between the wires that are too narrow (cannot get a blue electrical connector to fit unless you bend it narrower), 3) only two places to connect low-voltage wires (I had to wire-nut 4 pairs of wires plus a lead together to make it work) 4) the 110 volt power cord is much too short (about 18″), so I had to mount the unit much closer to my power supply which almost made the low-voltage wires too short to reach the unit which would have been a real pain, 5) they put a digital switch/readout on the front of the unit. Sorry, the “old” switch concept is much simpler and clearer.

So, the unit works, but I don’t think there was much real-world experience behind this design.

The lights have a 10 watt Halogen bulb with a T3 base and I was wondering if I could replace the halogens with much brighter LED bulb that would draw the same or less amperage and would be cooler as well. Portfolio solar lights- inadequate solar power unit / and or inadequate battery. Purchased set of 8, 7.4 lumen solar lights in July. Found out today after review from a micro electrical engineer that Portfolio sells their lights with greatly inadequate solar cells and batteries to power the units for 8 hours as Portfolio claims. Even in a high altitude, 300 days of sun per year perfect solar power area lights work only 5 hrs in summer with 14 hours to charge each day. Fall and winter only last 3 hours , winter 2 hrs.
Average solar product use has direct light 50% of day, average weather partly cloudy. Manufacturers know that. Their printed promise sold at Lowes in areas with 250 cloudy days says their solar lights will last 8 hours. 8 hrs is more than twice as long as the parts allow the light to operate at conditions they are sold in. No judgement here, but most call willfully printing false claims lies.

I purchased a 7 light chandelier Model fd04-160 for my dining room. I followed the directions BUT you neglected to include a few steps which made the process about 5 times longer than it needed to be.
First of all, one has to put the wires through the ceiling plate and all connectors in order to attach it to the ceiling. BUT you didn’t even bother to mention that in your instructions.
I don’t know how you would overlook that step since it is CRITICAL to installation! I mean really, how dumb are the people you hired to write this, and why didn’t your product manager or product marketing folks catch such a glaring mistake????
I will think twice about purchasing anything from you since you obviously have a serious problem with quality control.

Will your model 00699 be bright enough to clearly show the steps. One was an “S” shaped 8 bulb fixture for the kitchen and 2 small 4 bulb fixtures; one for the kitchen doorway and the other for over the sink. Within a month, several of the bulbs had burned out in the S fixture and one in each of the small fixtures. I noticed that the bulbs furnished with the original fixtures had lettering on the perimeter and figured they were not as hi-yield so I purchased replacements without question. A month later I was buying bulbs in quantities of 8. Replacement bulbs as well as the remainder of the bulbs with the lettering. I thought there might have been a defect in the S fixture so I returned to Lowe’s and got a replacement. Bulbs furnished with the fixture burned out within a month. Replacement GE bulbs burned out one by one within a couple of months. These replacement bulbs are supposed to last a YEAR and I’ve replaced all and MORE about 3 times.Right now, I have 2 more burned out in the S; 3 burned out in the over the sink fixture and 3 burned out in the fixture near the door. To replace the replacement bulbs will cost me $7.98 each $ almost 68.00 (Unless I find a package deal. I would like some kind of an explanation.

Last month I purchased two sets of the solar string lights (model #SS13P-P2-BK-CPK3). They worked well until the first rain. Two lights (one light on each set)stopped working (SS13P-BK-TH). Looking at them it appears that water entered the housing. The other four lights are still water free. Can they be fixed?

I bought some Portfolio 6-Watt (50W Equivalent) Specialty Textured Bronze Low Voltage LED Spot Lights. One of the lights appears to have burnt out, can the bulb be replaced and if so are there instructions online to replace the bulb?

I was able to take the cover and lens off but could not get the bulb out. I am sure I was missing something so any help would be appreciated.

I bought the Pathlight 6 lamp bluetooth set. I have them protected from weather. This is the 2nd season we will be using them. However, they are continuously losing bluetooth connection, and the lights struggle to stay lit. We love this system, but want it to work. We purchased this at Lowes. Can you offer any help? Thank YBNRyou, Pam Cotter

I am looking for the Globes for the Portfolio 11 Watt Specialty Bronze Low Voltage Incandescent Path Light. Model# EL0420BBR. The globes break faster than you can put them up.
I could use 5 globes. What does a person have to do to get replacements? I don’t see that there is an option to buy globes. There must be a company that is making the globes for you. They need to be made stronger.
I can’t see throwing out the rest of the light that works & buying a whole new one.
There needs to be a solution. You are not making fixing things easy.

I have many Portfolio path lights #0068075. These are powered by LED lights. After maybe 10 months installation they are starting to burn out one by one. Is there any way these LED lights can be replaced? I am pretty sure this stock number is no longer manufactured by Portfolio.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I purchased Portfolio pendant lights (3) about ten years ago and now they are burning out one by one. I have never purchased fixtures that lasted such a short time. I cannot buy matching replacements from Lowe’s and there are no replacement parts available, so I have to go to the expense of costly re-installation of replacement fixtures. I will never buy Portfolio brand or Lowe’s fixtures again.

About a year and a half ago I bought 6 Portfolio Motion-Activated Wall Lanterns.
Item #0482289. Model #VEL-0633-8W-PIR. One of the lanterns will no longer work when in the Motion Sensor position or the Dusk-to-Dawn position. I have gone back to Lowes in hopes of getting a replacement part for the sensor box but they do not sell them. Contacted Lowes at the 800 number listed on the instruction manual I got with the lights. They were of no help. I tried a local electric company and they have nothing as a replacement part. Can someone help me to get a replacement part or tell me were I can find one.
